Diver Discovery Weekend

Dive into an unforgettable underwater adventure this May Bank Holiday at Blue Planet Aquarium’s Diver Discovery Weekend, running from 2nd – 4th May!
Join us for a fun-filled, family-friendly event where you can get closer to the fascinating world of scuba diving and marine life. Whether you’re a curious beginner or an ocean enthusiast, there’s something for everyone to explore.
Throughout the day, visit our Divers Station at admissions, where our expert team will be on hand to answer your questions, share insider knowledge, and provide information about diving experiences. After each Aquatheatre show, don’t miss the chance to meet and greet our divers! A perfect opportunity to chat with them, learn about their underwater adventures, and snap a memorable photo during the 30-minute sessions.
For younger explorers (and the young at heart), get creative at our decorate-your-own diving mask craft table, where imagination meets ocean inspiration.
Did you know? Blue Planet Aquarium offers Shark Diving Experiences for ages 8+! An incredible opportunity to come face-to-face with some of the ocean’s most awe-inspiring creatures. Plus, discover amazing scuba facts and learn what it takes to breathe beneath the waves.

- No scheduled shows or talks, reducing crowd noise and sensory stimulation

Get ready for a fin-tastic day out! Blue Planet Aquarium is open daily from 10am (closed only on Christmas Day), with the last entry one hour before closing.
Our closing times change with the seasons, so be sure to check back before your visit to make the most of your underwater adventure!
Your underwater adventure starts the moment you set off! Blue Planet Aquarium is easy to find – just off Junction 10 of the M53 at Cheshire Oaks, right next to the Designer Outlet. Hop on a Stagecoach X1 from Chester or Service 1 from Liverpool and let the journey begin! Buses run regularly, and the nearest train station is Ellesmere Port, just two miles away, with easy bus links to get you even closer to the action.

Gear up for a smooth start to your day! Blue Planet Aquarium has its own onsite car park, just a short stroll from the entrance. Parking costs £2.95 per vehicle, no matter how long you stay, and when you buy something in the café, you’ll receive a free hot drink when you show your parking ticket.
