Visitor Safety Amid Covid-19

Your safety is our number one priority, and we will maintain many of the restrictions throughout your journey around the aquarium to minimise risk without compromising our unique underwater experience.

While we will maintain many of the safety measures in place, we all need one another to adhere to make your visit pleasant for others. If you’re planning to visit Blue Planet Aquarium, please take a moment to read through our visitor charter below.

IS BLUE PLANET AQUARIUM OPEN?
We are open daily and cannot wait to welcome you!

AM I ABLE TO PURCHASE AN ENTRANCE AT THE GATE?
Blue Planet Aquarium recommends that you book your tickets online to minimise contact and facilitate admissions to see our underwater world and to comply with Track and Trace.

HAVE I GOT A SPECIFIC TIME AND DATE TO VISIT BLUE PLANET AQUARIUM?
All tickets are valid for a 6-month period. We will be operating our admissions as any large retailer and museum. You can visit us any day at any time between 10.00 and 16.00h.

CAN I STILL USE CASH AT THE AQUARIUM?
We encourage you to use cashless and contactless payments as much as possible when at the aquarium; however we will still accept cash payment. All till points accept card payments and contactless payments, which can now be made for transactions up to £45.

DO I NEED TO PRINT MY TICKET?
No you do not need to print your ticket. We have new smart phone scanners available to minimise contact.

HOW WILL YOU ENSURE THAT WE CAN VISIT THE AQUARIUM SAFELY?
We have taken steps to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of our guests, staff and animals is our number one priority. For this reason, we have kept a one directional journey through the aquarium. Our staff will recommend visitors to wear a face covering and to maintain a respectful distance with others.

We will be limiting the number of visitors and members in the aquarium at one time, so you may encounter a short wait before entering, but please bear with us.

IS EVERYTHING OPEN?
Yes!

WILL WE HAVE TO WEAR MASKS TO VISIT THE AQUARIUM?
In line with government guidance we will recommend visitors maintain a face covering when visiting the aquarium. Children under aged 11 are not required to wear face coverings. It will be mandatory to wear a face mask during our aqua theatre show and other talks and feeds inside the aquarium.

CAN I BRING A GROUP TO THE AQUARIUM?
If you’re a group organiser and would like to receive details of when you can visit, please email [email protected]

WILL THERE STILL BE TALKS AND SHOWS AROUND THE AQUARIUM?
Talks and Feeds will be slowly reintroduced as part of our daily offering, but some restrictions will be in place. Face coverings will be mandatory if you want to attend these (medically exempt visitors and children under age 11 are not required to wear a facemask).

WILL THE TUNNEL WALKWAY BE ON?
Yes the tunnel walkway will be on with increased ventilation.

WILL THE NAUTILUS KITCHEN BE OPEN?
Yes, our restaurant will be open but with a limited menu. Social distancing will also be put in place in the seating area.
