School Holiday Activities - Marine Team

Join our Marine Team! Help look after a selection of Blue Planet Aquarium's famous fishy residents - taking part in preparing food and assisting with our public feeding displays... you can even try your hand at presenting! You'll see behind the scenes and learn some of the best kept secrets of how we work with the marine life in our care.

Cost, which includes lunch, is £35 per child.

Places are limited and pre-booking is essential.

Marine Team can also be adapted for parties.

A typical Marine Team will be scheduled in the following way:

Schedule

Time	Activity
10am	Welcome and getting to know other new Marine Team members
10.45am	Rockpool tour
11am	Take part in a Rockpool tour
11.15am	Well earned break!
11.30am	Observe an Aquatheatre presentation to get tips for later
11.50am	Display creation
1pm	Lunch
1.30pm	General tour of the aquarium
2.15pm	Observe Otter Feed and meet the keeper
2.30pm	Meet one of the divers
2.45pm	Aquatheatre practice session ready for your show
3.15pm	Another well earned break!
3.30pm	Show Time !  Aquatheatre presentation – each child will have the opportunity to pass on to the audience information they have learnt from the diver earlier in the day.
3.55pm	Presentation of certificates and return to the entrance
4pm	Goodbye – hope to see you again soon !

Parents please note:

Children will not be forced to do anything they are uncomfortable with, but will be encouraged to take part in all activities eg: if a child indicates they do not wish to speak into the microphone during the Aquatheatre session, then they will be encouraged to support the others with the overall presentation.  We want each child to really enjoy their day with the emphasis on fun.
